A hundred years after DADA's protests against WW1, their art expressing opinions of disgust towards the activities of the rest of the continent, the protest continues with grey areas that ‘matter’ getting darker…..:

Resounding with nostalgic clarity- the audible timing and the mechanism can be followed from the hand turning the ignition through each piston, gasket, and spark to ‘ticking over’ in idle and running out of fuel.

Listening for the ‘right sound’ of an engine and the fine adjustments to ‘timing’ was the ‘zen’ of the mechanic I learned with my father.
