Dawn chorus, my garden in Wimborne, Dorset, May 2nd 2021. The recording features the sounds made by a typical community of garden birds as they wake up in the morning. In the background you can also hear a pair of tawny owls, who always seem to join in with the dawn chorus, despite it marking the end of the night for them, rather than the beginning of a new day. Our garden adjoins a small local nature reserve, which accounts for the large number of birds that you can hear calling in the background.
